This small project features staged wedding pictures in uprooted Palestinian villages inside Israel that were destroyed in 1948. It was made in 2012 for the annual Al-Awda Award of BADIL - Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights, based in Bethlehem. The award honors art work that contributes to the defense and implementation of Palestinian refugee and IDP rights.

 

"The Returnees' Wedding" was awarded 2nd place.
